Why is prismacolor so expensive?
In terms of professional grade products Prismacolors are actually on the cheaper end. The reason they are more expensive than student grade pencils, though, is in short because they are professional grade. They are lightfast and generally good quality (if what I hear is correct, I don’t use them myself).
